Exchanges

If you've already completed the steps listed on the resources page, you're off to a great start! This page includes links to Exchange Proposals and Stories about experiences others have had. You can also obtain your own blank Exchange Proposal on this page.

  • As I receive them, I will add: Links to Exchange Proposals for people interested in a cohousing exchange (I plan to include a map with pins that link directly to proposals for various locations) as well as a sorted index to help people quickly narrow their focus to places that might appeal to their desires. As a true swap, it might be tricky to locate someone who wants to swap at the same time as you AND desires your location as much as you desire their place. You can always explore using points via HomeExchange.com or consider other creative ideas to arrange swaps that don't involve simultaneous swaps. Regarding privacy, please remember that anyone can find this website, so please do not share any personal details that you would prefer remain private.

  • Future: Stories about experiences related to cohousing exchanges. Hopefully, these will serve as inspiration for others to consider swaps and perhaps give insights into what worked and what didn't work for the experience (lessons learned).

If you'd like to include a link to your Exchange Proposal, please click here to create a copy of the template. Once you fill it out, you can share the document with me or email a copy to dave@trackg.com. I will then post it as a document linked from this page. If you're unable to create a copy using the link above, you can also click here to view the template and then you can copy and paste the contents into a new document.

Reflections on an International Cohousing Visit

David Entin, one of the members on our exploration Zoom calls, shared this detailed document outlining his observations and reflections after visiting and staying at seven cohousing communities.

These were located in Sweden and Denmark where he stayed from one to six nights in each community. He talked with many residents and he gained a wider knowledge about cohousing in other countries.
